You use SEO when you want your site to be among the first result for some key-words or key-phrases. But why do you want your site be popular? There are several reasons for that. But in most of the cases, you need your site to become popular because you want more and more users to visit it. And if you are a company that sells some products or provides some payed services, then this would mean that the more visitors your site has the more money your company may receive. For this reason SEO means money.

If your site is designed quite well and is well optimized for highly frequent key-words or key-phrases, then it will be among the first results in searching engines for those key-words. And, as the result of this, more visitors would come to your site. That is why it is very important to understand the basics of SEO. In the upcoming posts I will try to reveal the secrets of effective SEO.

Well, since this journal is going to be about SEO. Let me first define what SEO is.

SEO is acronym for Search Engine Optimization. This includes the set of actions aimed to increase the rank of a site in searching results. For example, I typed "tajseo" in Yandex and after pressing "find" button the engine returns me the result set consisting of web sites where my key word "tajseo" takes place.



As you can see, I have only one record in the result set. This happens when there is no other site that has been indexed by Yandex and at the same time contains key word "tajseo".  If there were other sites containing this word then the place in the result set of my Live Journal page would change according to how successful the SEO has been performed over my site.

That is why site owners need SEO. They need it to guarantee that their sites would be in the highest positions in searching results for related key-words or key-phrases.

This is my first post on Live Journal. I am planning to discuss all the issues related to SEO in Tajikistan. Even though, the Internet is not quite developed in Tajikistan these days, I believe that in very close future the situation would change and web will spread all around the country. When this happens, there will be a need for SEO. Thus, I will try to collect all related info about SEO that would be usseful for those who is going to deal with this industry.

Currently, I have no my own site where I can publish my posts or accept messages from the followers. As soon as I prepare one, I will post its address here and hope that you will visit it to keep in touch. I plan to open a Tajik SEO community to obtain a synergy effect and prepare a good base for our followers.
